North Sails Race Week 2004
will take place over
three days. The event will be organized and conducted by Golison & Golison
and Premiere Racing, Inc.

3. Race Headquarters and Evening Reception
The Official
Site and Race Headquarters will be located in the Seaport Marina Hotel at
the Alamitos Bay Marina. The hotel address is 6400 E. Pacific Coast
Highway, Long Beach, CA. The phone number is 562-434-8451.
4. Accommodations
There are two
official race week hotel options. It is recommended that you make your
reservations early and inform them that you are with 'North Sails Race
Week' for room block availability.
The Seaport Marina Hotel

-The Official Hotel for race week is offering a room rate of $122 / night.
The Ayres Hotel

-A more upscale hotel option located in nearby Seal Beach (7 minute
drive). The Official Luxury Hotel is offering a race week room rate of
$139 / night, which includes complimentary "cooked to order" breakfast.
5. Docking/Launching
Alamitos Bay
Marina: Arrangements have been made for docking at the Alamitos Bay
Marina, located directly across from the Seaport Marina Hotel, from
Thursday through Monday (June 24-June 28). Refer to the entry form for
dock fees. Docking, which is raft-up style on end ties, will be
coordinated by Golison & Golison. Docking confirmation and location will
be provided with your entry acknowledgement. For docking prior to June 24
or after June 28, contact Bruce Golison directly at Golison & Golison.
Restroom keys are available from the Marina administrative office (deposit
required).
Alamitos Bay Yacht Club:
Docking in the
ABYC basin has been reserved for boats launching at ABYC and ABYC members
only. Docking fees delineated on the entry form do not apply to ABYC
members.
Trailer Boat Launching:
Trailer boat
launching is available at the Alamitos Bay Yacht Club in Long Beach. For
specific information on launching, hauling and trailer storage check the
Race Week web page or contact the event organizer.
6. Registration
Registration is
mandatory for all entrants. The boat's skipper or representative must
register on site and pick up the Sailing Instructions, any amendments and
other pertinent information. (see Part II Section 6 Preliminary Schedule
of Events)
7. After-Race Parties
Each evening
following racing, there will be an evening reception poolside at the
Seaport Marina Hotel. Shoreside activities will include food, beverages,
music and the trophy presentation on Sunday afternoon following racing.
8. Friday and Saturday Night Dinners
On Friday
evening, the Seaport Marina Hotel will have a food court set up with
various food choices available on a cash basis (no pre-sale tickets). On
Saturday evening, a Lasagna Dinner will be available and tickets can be
purchased with your entry form and through Golison & Golison.
($16 per
person with advanced purchase. Menu includes tossed salad with choice of
dressings, vegetable salad, lasagna, garlic bread and dessert.)
9. Regatta Photos
Each night, the
event photographer, Yacht Shots, will provide a slide show of the sailing
action. Photos may be purchased on their web site. To view last year's
photos and this year's shots, go to

are sorted by regatta, class and boat name. |
