*Two new Schock 40's Mike Campbell's Cincos* (right) and Nick Martin's On Point, dispose of their asymmetric spinnakers at the leeward gate.**	The celebrity crew in the green jacket aboard Tony Wattson's Melges 24 is Vince Brun, the two-time world champion in the class.	Rival is hot on the transom of Ross Ritto's High 5 at the start of the Volvo 2 class race.

One-Design 35's sail past the Queen Mary in Long Beach's outer harbor.	*Claudia Wainer, always a contender in Southern California's tough Schock 35 class, drives Whistler* off the windward mark.**	*Mike DeBrincat tries to thread the needle with his Olson 30 Masquerade* between Aaron Feves' Scoundrel and the windward mark.**


*Doug Mongeon at the helm of Farr 40 Flyer, sets up to round through the leeward gate.*	Buddy Melges (at tiller, right) drives Steve Flam's (what else?) Melges 24 to fourth place.	*Helmsman Scott Harris squeezes Alexandra Geremia's Farr 40 Crocodile Rock* between rival Peregrine and the pin end.**
