declared and stamped prior to the regatta.
All sails that are to be used in the Nationals, must be measured,
declared and stamped by Wednesday, June 21st at 8:00pm.
It is strongly recommended that all sails be measured
and stamped prior to arriving in Long Beach for the Nationals. Pre-regatta sail measurement will be held in
San Francisco Bay, Seattle WA and
Newport CA. Please contact:
SoCal: John Conners 949-496-4419

sails opportunity" at the regatta headquarters (Seaport Marina Hotel) on
Wednesday, June 21st from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.
Check in the hotel lobby for specific location (either at an "Olson
30 table" or see directional signeage).
If you have any questions, please contact the
Nationals Sail Measurement Chairman, John Conners at 949-496-4419.
2) Crew
Weigh-in -
All Olson 30 nationals skippers and crews must be
weighed in and meet the weight limit requirements by Wednesday, June 21st at
8:00pm. Weigh-ins are being conducted
by the Olson 30 Nationals organizing committee at the regatta headquarters on
Wednesday, June 21st from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.
Check in the hotel lobby for specific location (either at an "Olson
30 table" or see directional signeage).
Crew substitution will be allowed, but total class
weight restrictions will apply at all times. Substitutes must be declared and
weighed in by the Nationals Weighing Chairman – Aaron Feves, 562-989-6715.
3) Safety
and class equipment inspections -
Safety and class equipment inspections will be
conducted as boats arrive.
Please be aware that there are recent changes to the
rules on keel and
spinnaker pole measurements. If you have had any
substantive work done to
your keel (other than minor repairs), please request
a measurement by the
class measurer (Todd Downey 805-890-6058).
Measurement certificates from
local measurers will be accepted, certifying that a
keel meets class rules.
Todd Downey's cell phone and voice mail info. Todd is
the Nationals
measurer.
There shall be no breathing apparatus allowed for the
purpose of cleaning boat
bottoms during the regatta.
Trophies will be awarded to the first five
