Re: Acura Miami Race Week - March 11 - 13, 2005
Premiere Racing is pleased to invite Etchells sailors to Acura Miami
Race Week 2005.
The Southern Ocean Racing Conference - known to racing sailors
around the world as "SORC" - has found a new life with our Premiere
Racing organization. As you may know, we have built Key West Race Week
into the top annual keel boat event in North America and one of the
elite race weeks on the international racing calendar.
There are some obvious synergies with the Key West and Miami events,
and Premiere Racing will capitalize on these as we turn our immediate
attention to the critical issues of boat and class logistics and
professional race management.
Three of the very best Principal Race Officers in the business, Dave
Brennan, Tom Duggan and Ken Legler, will ensure the race committee
work is up to our Key West Race Week standards.
The Etchells will race on the Biscayne Bay course over three
days, March 11-13. The new Shake-A-Leg sailing facility in Coconut
Grove will be the host site for racing on the bay. The Miami Beach
Marina is the host site for the ocean divisions. To further ensure
that the logistics are simple and the experience is enjoyable for all,
the Friday and Saturday post-race parties will be held at both sites.
Biscayne Bay Yacht Club, the host club for the Etchells class
winter Jaguar Series, will also host the Etchells class for Acura
Miami Race Week. The
application for
storage, launch-haul and dock space is on the race week web site or
the Etchells web site
www.EtchellsFleet20.org. For additional information please
contact:
Ken
Batzer or Phone: (954) 946-3467).
Excellent racing conditions in Biscayne Bay and South Beach nightlife
are a winning combination. Add improved logistics and top-notch race
management and the inaugural Acura Miami Race Week is a not to be
missed event.
We hope to see you there!
Sincerely,
Peter
Craig
