MARINAS -- DOCK SPACE -- SLIPS

Updated DEC 14, 2010

Boat owners are responsible for arranging their own dockage. If you are racing in a one design class, we recommend that you communicate with your class or a regular Key West campaigner who is familiar with the Key West marinas and logistics.

We are working with the local marinas and the City of Key West encouraging them to develop packages and special rates if possible.

For those boat owners who wish to compete in Key West, you can be assured that there will be a place to moor your race boat. The private marinas don't always accept slip reservations in as early as we would like given the other special events that precede race week. An inability to secure a slip reservation early in no way reflects on the availability of the slips later in the autumn or early winter.

Additionally, there is a fall back option. Premiere Racing will again manage the Truman Waterfront Property (TWP) during race week. This is a very inexpensive alternative for mooring race boats. It provides inner seawall space, some limited float space and ramp dry sailing. It should be noted that there is only 18 inches of tide in Key West. The TWP also serves as the event's mobile marina staging and crane operations site.

   KEY WEST MARINAS

There is one city marina, four private marinas and the Truman Waterfront Property (above and more details below) on the Island of Key West. These are more convenient to Divisions 1 and 2. There are three private marinas located on Stock Island closest to the racing area - adjacent to and north of Key West. These are most convenient for Division 3 and a reasonable transit to and from Division 2.
