The
2003 America’s Cup Panel Discussion
presented by Premiere
Racing
There has been
no shortage of surprises on the America’s Cup scene since Team New Zealand’s 5-0 drubbing of Prada. The shuffle of
sailing and designer talent between countries and syndicates has been
unprecedented. While Team New Zealand will
once again prove very difficult to beat, the gap will certainly close and prospects
of a clean sweep for the 2003 edition are unlikely. With budgets less of an
issue and two-boat testing well under way, the Louis Vuitton series promises to
be even more intense and closely contested if that is possible. Come join the discussion with some of the
biggest names on the America’s Cup scene.

PHRF Issues for Race Week 2002 Panel Discussion presented by Quantum Sails
We promised last year that the PHRF
panel discussion during Race Week would play a role in determining policy for
weight limits in future events. Indeed it did. This year’s discussion will
expand to include other important issues including class splits, sportboats and
the handicapping process. Come join this panel of yacht owners, PHRF rating
experts and designers to discuss and debate PHRF issues that will effect all
Key West PHRF competitors in 2002 and may have a trickle down effect to PHRF
sailing in your area.
